This player has been modified by the best professionals in order to allow you to play any DVD or Blu Ray DVD from any region. The Sony BDP-S5500 is also designed for world wide dual voltage, 110-220 volts. This means that you won't need a voltage converter no matter where you go! There is also a built in PAL to NTSC conversion system-- so no outside converters are necessary.
